Monday 21st February. The Governors Representative Grant Prichard, and his wife Tana, were treated with a farewell dinner tonight as their  one year term on the Island comes to an end. 

Grant is only the second person to take up this role on the Island. Jenny Lock, his predecessor, was the first.

Tana has been actively involved in conducting French classes and already we hear French words being spoken by several Islanders.

Grant and Tana expects to leave this weekend on the Southern Salvor, the supply ship for Pitcairn , where they will be taken to Mangareva in French Polynesia before flying to Tahiti and onto their final destination.
